For more than 20 years I have had the pleasure of creating unforgettable memories in several beautiful places with Stewart Gordon as my guide and host. Fishing small streams of Virginia, the Blackfoot in Montana, and tributaries in Wyoming’s Bridger Teton Forest. Wyoming particularly special as I was able to take my son along when he was around 16 ( he’s now 25). He still reminisces about “the Wyoming trip”. All of these experiences made possible and unforgettable by Stewart. His professional level of fly fishing knowledge is of course a deep well that is comforting to be able to draw from when that scene appears that you are unfamiliar with. But that is actually just one piece that helps complete the overall picture of what Stewart is uniquely able to provide. His extensive travels, true friendships, and life experiences make him a great host. This is, after all, about the experience of sights unseen as much as it is about the next bent rod!

Stewart is personable, professional, and vets his supporting crew. His clients speak well of him, their experience and often return for another go at it. His local and adventure trips are well planned and executed. All could be customized.
There are always stories made and then told around his campfires. Friendships are built floating legendary rivers or on a Wyoming horse pack trip to a comfortable yet rustic camp. Rustic, you know, like sleeping on the ground with the hand dug latrine just a hop or two down the Tugaboo Trail.
Note: My wife stayed in Jackson to be less rustic.
He's a good bet. He knows the history, equipment, and techniques. Oh, and what bugs that fish eat. We hang around him because we like him.
